Targeted Allele Detail
Symbol: Cckartm1Kpn
Name: cholecystokinin A receptor; targeted mutation 1, Alan S Kopin
MGI ID: MGI:3051882
Synonyms: CCK-1R-, CCK1R-, CCK-AR-
Gene: Cckar  Location: Chr5:53697776-53707705 bp, - strand  Genetic Position: Chr5, 29.52 cM
Germline Transmission:  Earliest citation of germline transmission: J:53711
Parent Cell Line:  R1 (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  (129X1/SvJ x 129S1/Sv)F1-Kitl+
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion
Mutation detailsA PGK-neo replaced exon 3, which encodes a portion of the third transmembrane domain and the second intracellular loop including the "ERY" motif. Southern blot of mutant mice indicated successful recombination. Testing for 125I-CCK-8 binding in pancreatic membranes mutant mice indicated showed no displaceable binding and therefore a lack a Cckar receptors. (J:53711)
