Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion

Mutation detailsCrossing with mice ubiquitously expressing Cre recombinase, floxed exon 3 and a 3' neo were excised in the germ line. Exon 3 encodes the first transmembrane domain. PCR of testicular cDNA indicated that mutants expressed only a truncated transcript, shown by sequencing to be the result of the 311 deleted nucleotides from the targeted exon. (J:91531)
