Notes

Candidate Genes

J:168370

Three overlapping segments of the Tlyr1 locus resided in three SEG/Pas subcongenic strains. One of these regions proved informative to suggest that Cd274 may be a candidate for the Tlyr1 locus.

Mapping and Phenotype information for this QTL, its variants and associated markers

J:79055

C57BL/6J mice develop thymic lymphomas after acute gamma irradiation, whereas Mus spretus and its F1 hybrids with C57BL/6J appear resistant. Genetic analysis using consomic strains between Mus spretus and C57BL/6J indicated that a locus on mouse Chromosome 19 conferred resistance to thymic lymphomas. Further genetic analysis showed that the locus Tlyr1 can be mapped between D19Mit60 and D19Mit40. Homozygosity for C57BL/6J-derived alleles confer resistance to thymic lymphomas at Tlyr1. Candidate genes mapping near Tlyr1 include Pdcd4, Fas and Pten.
