• Mutation details: Exon 5 and part of exon 6 were replaced with a MCI-neomycin cassette. This resulted in the loss of the zinc binding site in the catalytic domain and a frame shift at the exon 4-exon 7 junction. Northern blot analysis indicated a faint band representing the mutant transcript which codes only the propeptide and N-terminal part of the catalytic fragment. (J:87586)
