Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Inserted expressed sequence)
Mutation:    Insertion

Mutation detailsThe human IL2RA gene was inserted into exon 2 of the endogenous locus. Thet targeting construct included a polyadenylation signal and neo gene immediately downstream of IL2RA. Treatment of mutant mice with a recombinant immunotoxin consisting of the variable regions of the anti-IL2RA monoclonal antibody fused to a bacterial exotoxin results in the specific ablation of cells expressing IL2RA via the Drd2 promoter.
