Targeted Allele Detail
Symbol: Cacna1etm1Hssh
Name: calcium channel, voltage-dependent, R type, alpha 1E subunit; targeted mutation 1, Hee-Sup Shin
MGI ID: MGI:2451031
Synonyms: alpha1E-
Gene: Cacna1e  Location: Chr1:154390731-154884501 bp, - strand  Genetic Position: Chr1, 66.14 cM
Germline Transmission:  Earliest citation of germline transmission: J:81788
Parent Cell Line:  J1 (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  129S4/SvJae
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout, Reporter)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion
Mutation detailsThe gene was disrupted by replacement of nucleotides 357 - 860 of exon 1 with a GFP-neo cassette via homologous recombination. The gene targeting event results in deletion of the translation initiation site and part of the N-terminal cytosolic domain. Absence of gene expression in homozygous mutant animals was confirmed by Western blot analysis of brain proteins. (J:81788)
