Mutation details: The transgene consists of a human AMH promoter, a cre recombinase gene, and genomic sequences from MT1 to provide mRNA secondary structure stability. The gene trap inserted into intron 3. Northern blot analysis shows gonad-specific transgene expression in Sertoli cells of 6 day old male mice and granulosa cells of 16 day old female mice. RT-PCR confirmed normal endogenous gene expression. The insertion site of the original cre transgene was subsequenly identified as intron 3 of Plekha5.
