Gene: Gli1  Location: Chr10:127329882-127341579 bp, - strand  Genetic Position: Chr10, 74.5 cM
Germline Transmission:  Earliest citation of germline transmission: J:79392
Parent Cell Line:  W4 (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  129S6/SvEvTac
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout, Reporter)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion
Mutation detailsThe gene was disrupted by replacement of a genomic region encoding the Gli N-terminal and zinc finger domains with a floxed-neo cassette and a lacZ having a nuclear localizing signal. The floxed-neo cassette was subsequently removed by crossing mutant animals to a cre deleter strain. The lacZ expression pattern in homozygous mutant embryos is identical to that of wild-type Gli as determined by immunohistochemical analysis. (J:79392)
