Targeted Allele Detail
Symbol: Abcg2tm1Ahs
Name: ATP-binding cassette, sub-family G (WHITE), member 2; targeted mutation 1, Alfred H Schinkel
MGI ID: MGI:2447196
Synonyms: Abcg2-, Bcrp1-
Gene: Abcg2  Location: Chr6:58584523-58695676 bp, + strand  Genetic Position: Chr6, 27.82 cM
Germline Transmission:  Earliest citation of germline transmission: J:80519
Parent Cell Line:  E14 (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  129P2/OlaHsd
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion
Mutation detailsA 5.1 kb genomic fragment encompassing exons 3 through 6 was replaced with a pgk-hygro selection cassette inserted by homologous recombination. The deleted region encoded the majority of the ATP-binding domain. The absence of normal transcript was confirmed by Northern blot analysis of homozygous mutant mice. No protein was detected by Western blot analysis or by immunohistochemical staining. (J:80519)
