Mutation detailsSequence extending from nucleotide -849 through nucleotide 46 was replaced with a neomycin selection cassette. Deletion of this region eliminated regulatory elements, sequence encoding the first 16 amino acids, and introduced a frameshift mutation. Northern blot analysis confirmed the absence of transcript in homozygous mutant mice. (J:65241)
