Synonyms: Agtr1a-, Agtr1alacZ
Gene: Agtr1a  Location: Chr13:30336441-30382867 bp, + strand  Genetic Position: Chr13, 13.19 cM
Germline Transmission:  Earliest citation of germline transmission: J:36090
Parent Cell Line:  E14.1 (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  129P2/OlaHsd
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout, Reporter)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion
Mutation details190 bp of the gene coding region was replaced with a lacZ-PGK-hygro cassette via homologous recombination. The lacZ-PGK-hygro cassette was inserted in frame after the third transmembrane domain. Northern blot analysis of kidney tissue confirmed the absence of gene expression in homozygous mutant animals. The expression pattern of beta-galactosidase in mutant animals is similar to that of the endogenous protein. (J:36090)
