MGI ID: MGI:2183036
Synonyms: Brainiac 1 null
Gene: B3galnt1  Location: Chr3:69574158-69598960 bp, - strand  Genetic Position: Chr3, 32.24 cM
Germline Transmission:  Earliest citation of germline transmission: J:70591
Parent Cell Line:  TC1/TC-1 (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  129S6/SvEvTac
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout)
Mutation:    Insertion
Mutation detailsThe gene was disrupted by insertion of a PGK-neo cassette 140 bp downstream of the ATG start codon via homologous recombination, resulting in the deletion of the entire C-terminal region after amino acid 47 in the encoded protein. Genotype analysis detected homozygous mutant embryos at 3.5 days post coitum. No homozygous mutant animals could be recovered. (J:70591)
