Targeted Allele Detail
Symbol: Itpr1tm1Tno
Name: inositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate receptor 1; targeted mutation 1, Tetsuo Noda
MGI ID: MGI:2180360
Synonyms: InsP3R1-, IP3R1-
Gene: Itpr1  Location: Chr6:108213096-108551109 bp, + strand  Genetic Position: Chr6, 49.74 cM
Germline Transmission:  Earliest citation of germline transmission: J:30633
Parent Cell Line:  J1 (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  129S4/SvJae
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout)
Mutation:    Insertion
Mutation detailsA neomycin cassette was inserted into the first coding exon of the gene which contains 5' untranslated sequence and the sequence for the first 31 amino acids. A lack of protein from the cerebellum of homozygous mutant animals was demonstrated by Western analysis. Additional binding studies and Ca2+ release assays were incorporated to demonstrate the loss of function for this allele. (J:30633)
