Symbol: Slit1tm1.1Matl
Name: slit guidance ligand 1; targeted mutation 1.1, Marc Tessier-Lavigne
MGI ID: MGI:2179459
Synonyms: Slit1-
Gene: Slit1  Location: Chr19:41600257-41743665 bp, - strand  Genetic Position: Chr19, 34.99 cM
Germline Transmission:  Earliest citation of germline transmission: J:73904
Parent Cell Line:  D3 (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  129S2/SvPas
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout, Reporter)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion
Mutation detailsThe floxed neo cassette was excised from Slit1tm1Matl via in vivo cre mediated recombination, leaving the endogenous locus disrupted by a cassette containing an endoplasmic reticulum KDEL retention sequence, a stop codon, and an IRES-tauGFP fusion protein. The initial insertion of the cassette replaced sequence encoding a portion of the second leucine rich repeat. In situ hybridization studies using a 3' antisense probe did not detect mRNA in the ventral spinal cord of homozygous mutant E11.5 embryos. (J:73904)
