Mutation detailsA termination codon and a neomycin selection cassette were replaced 0.9 kb of the sequences following codon 997. RNAase protection assays on RNA derived from brain of homozyous mice demonstrated that normal levels of a mutant transcript are produced from this allele. Western blot analysis on whole brain lysates confirmed that a truncated protein is expressed from this allele in homozygous mice. (J:76019)
