Mutation
origin
Germline Transmission:  Earliest citation of germline transmission: J:74022
Parent Cell Line:  J1 (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  129S4/SvJae
Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion

Mutation detailsA neomycin selection casssette replaced 35 bp of exon 1. RT-PCR analysis demonstrated that no stable transcript was present in gastric tissue of homozygous mice, and western blot analysis showed that no stable protein was produced from this allele in gastric membranes derived from homozygous mice.
