Quantitative trait loci (QTLs) effecting age specific body growth rates in mice were mapped in a previous experiment using 535 F2 intercross mice from a (LG/J x SM/J)F1 cross (See J:32208). Here an additional 510 F2 mice were analyzed. LG/J mice exhibit a large size at 60 days of age whereas SM/J exhibit a small size. QTL markers Bgeq14 and Bglq16 mapped to mouse Chromosome 15 and were both associated with D15Mit5.
