Quantitative trait loci (QTLs) effecting age specific body growth rates in mice were mapped in a previous experiment using 535 F2 intercross mice from a (LG/J x SM/J)F1 cross (See J:32208). Here an additional 510 F2 mice were analyzed. LG/J mice exhibit a large size at 60 days of age whereas SM/J exhibit a small size. QTL marker Bglq15 was mapped to mouse Chromosome 14 and associated with D14Mit5.
