Mapping and Phenotype information for this QTL, its variants and associated markers

J:55364

SL/Kh inbred mice exhibit a high incidence of pre-B lymphomas and an abnormal transient expression of bone marrow pre-B-1 cells, whereas NFS/N mice have a low incidence of spontaneous lymphoma and a low number of bone marrow pre-B-1 cells. F2 and backcross populations of mice derived from crosses betweeb SL/Kh and NFS/N mice were informative in mapping a QTL to mouse Chromosome 3 with a peak LOD (10.7) at marker D3Mit319. A gene within the QTL region that may be a candidate for the Bomb1 phenotype is suggested to be Lef1.
