Gene: Ctnnb1  Location: Chr9:120929216-120960507 bp, + strand  Genetic Position: Chr9, 72.19 cM
Mutation
origin
Germline Transmission:  Earliest citation of germline transmission: J:60391
Parent Cell Line:  E14 (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  129P2/OlaHsd
Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion

Mutation detailsA neomycin selection cassette replaced a DNA segment containing most of exon 3 and exon 4. Northern blot analysis on RNA derived from homozygous ES cells demonstrated that no detectable transcript was produced from this allele, and western blot analysis on homozygous ES cells confirmed that no stable protein is produced from this allele (data not shown).
