Notes

This remutation arose as a spontaneous mutation in the C57BL/6J strain. Affected mice have a white band reaching across the back in the midtrunk region which sometimes joins a white belly spot of varying sizes. Affected mice mated to homozygous belted mice produce only belted offspring (33/33 pups born).
