Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout) Mutation:    Insertion   Mutation details: An IRES-beta galactosidase and PGK-neomycin cassette was inserted in exon 7.1 at the aspartic acid position 262. Isoform Go1-alpha was disrupted while beta galactosidase was placed under the control of the Gnao1 promoter. Absence of the protein product from brain and pancreatic islets was confirmed immunologically. (J:168245)
