Germline Transmission:  Earliest citation of germline transmission: J:158947
Parent Cell Line:  E14 (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  129P2/OlaHsd
Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion

Mutation detailsA floxed neo cassette was inserted within intron 1 and a single loxP site 5' to exon 1 by homologous recombination. Exon 1 and the neo cassette were removed by cre mediated recombination. (J:158947)

Notes
From: Wilfried Ellmeier [wilfried.ellmeier@meduniwien.ac.at] Sent: Monday, May 24, 2010 2:24 PM To: Jason Bubier Cc: Wilfried Ellmeier Subject: Re: Information Request Follow Up Flag: Follow Up Flag Status: Flagged Dear Dr. Bubier, Sorry for the delayed reply. We used the widely used E14 ES cell line for the deletion. The floxed MAZR allele was deleted in ES cells with CMV-Cre (using transient transfection), therefore we generated a germ-line knockout. With best wishes, Wilfried Ellmeier
