Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout)
Mutation:    Intragenic deletion

Mutation detailsMale mice carrying the Bag3tm1Jhl allele, which has exon 4 of the gene locus flanked by loxP sites, were bred with cre transgenic mice to excise exon 4 from the germline. Gene inactivation was confirmed in tail and liver extracts by failure to detect protein in immunoblot assays using three different antibodies raised against whole, COOH-terminal, and NH2-terminal peptides.
