Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout) Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion   Mutation details: Exon 2, containing the ATG, was replaced with a PGK-neo cassette via homologous recombination. Southern blot was used to confirm correct insertion of the vector. RNase protection assay showed lack of transcript in mutant testis. Western blot indicated absence of protein in testis extracts from mutants. (J:91483)
