Different knockout strategies result in inconsistent male reproduction phenotypes ranging from normal spermatogenesis and fertility to severe subfertility with astheno/teratozoospermia and low sperm ATP content to infertility with impaired sperm migration and sperm-egg recognition/binding defects.
