Nullizygous mice show smaller body size, subfertility, defects in spermatogenesis and ovarian folliculogenesis, irregular estrous cycles, few/no preovulatory follicles and corpora lutea, increased granulosa cell apoptosis, and increased serum progesterone and estradiol levels after superovulation.
