Notes:
(a) The 2.1 kb transcript was the most abundant band. CPE-WT transcript was abundant in embryonic and adult brain, whereas expression was weak or undetectable in adult liver, lung and heart. Level of transcript surged at E10.5, gradually decreased, and resurged at P1.
(b) The two smaller transcripts displayed a very similar expression pattern as CPE-WT.
