The molecular lesion is a T to A substitution at nucleotide -10 before coding nucleotide 13330 (c.13330-10T>A, NM_133365) in intron 76. This may affect the nearby splice acceptor site. (J:175213) Additional incidental mutations were detected in sequencing for the causative mutation, Dnah5b2b1537Clo, and may be present in stocks carrying this mutation.

Cardiac phenotype: Dextrocardia associated with situs inversus totalis and heterotaxy with dual inferior vena cava (IVC)
Noncardiac phenotype: Abnormal thoracic and abdominal organ situs anomalies such as inverted liver and lung lobation. Also observed were immotile airway cilia
