Quantitative RT-PCR. The data are shown as a 3D plot with relative measurements in 4 separate areas of the cochlea (basal end, mid-basal, mid-apical, and apical end) normalized to beta-actin and the most immature stage E17 apex. Expression was fairly constant at the base but was
higher in the apex particularly around P0 and P2. There was 101-fold difference between the lowest and highest levels.
