description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Conditional ready, No functional change)
Mutation:    Insertion

Mutation detailsA targeting vector was designed to flank exon 5 of the gene with loxP sites and insert an FRT-flanked neomycin resistance cassette in reverse orientation in intron 4 (within the loxP sites). Mice carrying the mutation were crossed with a FLP strain on a C57BL/6 and 129 mixed background driven by an actin promoter. The neomycin cassette was excised, leaving the floxed exon. (J:119934)
