origin
Germline Transmission:  Earliest citation of germline transmission: J:97966
Parent Cell Line:  MS12 (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  C57BL/6NSlc
Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion

Mutation detailsA tau-AFAP-pgk-neo cassette replaced exon 2, which includes the sequence encodinge the initiating methionine. The PGK-neo was subsequently removed via cre-mediated recombination. Northern blot and RT-PCR confirmed lack of transcript in mutant mice. Immunoreactivity was found to be absent in analysis of retinae of mutant mice. (J:97966)
