Parent Cell Line:  GS1 (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  129/Sv
Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion

Mutation detailsA loxP flanked 64 bp segment of exon 2 and a neo cassette were inserted via homologous recombination then removed via cre mediated recombination prior to generation of chimeric mice. The resulting allele lacked exon 2 and contained a frameshift and early termination codon. Immunoblot analysis confirmed the absence of protein expression in homozygous embryos (J:90402)
