Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout) Mutations:    Insertion, Intergenic deletion   Mutation details: Guca1a and Guca1b, which are arranged tail-to-tail, were disrupted by the insertion of a single neo cassette. The deleted region encompassed exons 2 through 4 of Guca1a and exons 3 and 4 of Guca1b. Immunostaining and Western blot analysis of homozygous mutant retinal tissue indicated an absence of proteins.
