Equal amounts of cDNA derived from extraembryonic tissues and embryonic tissues were sequentially diluted in 10-fold steps. Controls: the abundance of cytoskeletal beta-actin cDNA within extraembryonic tissue was shown to be the same as that in embryonic tissue; RNA samples without reverse transcriptase treatment did not show any PCR products.
